OOOW! I just changed my 10g to an 8g (gauge, its for earrings). Ok well it didnt hurt as much as Im making it seem but damn! Theyre a little itchy, and the right one is probably going to get infected. But wait, 10g sounds super huge you say? And why would it hurt if youre moving to an 8? Eight is a smaller number! Well Im sorry but gauging works a little differntly.

Gauging goes by even numbers, you start off at regular earrings which is 20 gauge. 18 pratically doesnt exist. Now you can go from 20 to 16 (see the numbers go backwards) and not feel anything. 14 gauge is for your tongue rings and belly rings, and changing just from 16 to 14 can hurt. 12 and 10 are rare to come across but NEVER go from 14 to 10! I tried that once and it hurt like a mother. Yup, a mother. 8 is what I have right now, its not that bad. When you get to the smaller numbers (the smaller the number, the bigger/wider the earring) there are usually more of them because of the different designs you can have with a much larger earring. 6 is still rare, 4s are for people who think they have a huge gauge but they dont, 2s are very popular and then theres 0 (zero). 0 is pretty big. Then 00 (double zero) which is about 1/4-1/2 inch in diameter. And thats to the point where you can pretty much see through the other end of your ear (but you still can at around 8 or 6 I think?). Anything thats a fraction is fucking huge, and if you want bigger you need them custom made. I love my earrings. theyre called "horns". They kind of have this spiral shape to them and theyre either dark brown or black, not sure really. But they look cool! The things Ill do for a cool earring...I swear. But I like it! :D

Might be changing layout soon, keep your eyes peeled. I dont want to ruin a new design by loading it with all of my crap (tagboard, counter, "hugs", etc). Not sure if I want to depart from them, the tagboard will be easy and I guess I could get a small/invisible counter. And the hugs will have to go. And I think thats it?
